Harvesting Our Dreams – Autumn Tensegrity Series
Our relationship with the earth remains unthought. Nevertheless, it is the earth that provides us with life-sustaining nourishment, the materials that give us shelter, and the clothing that keeps us warm. In that more expanded view, the earth is our true mother, a kind of womb itself that allows for the full development and maturity of this life form called human being.
Unfortunately, due to mechanised food processing and supermarkets, we have only a vague awareness of that essential relationship. In many cases, it is so tentative that it compromises health and well-being.
On a more spiritual level, we could say that it is the earth that allows spirit to be made manifest on earth in human form for this brief existence. Likewise, it may be the earth and our relationship to the earth that empowers and makes manifest our dreams. Along the same lines, we may think the relationship with earth speaks to our material health i.e. physical well-being, economic well-being, as well as our spiritual well-being (to make our own spirit and dreams manifest.)
In this series of 8 classes, the intention will be to cultivate a deeper and richer awareness of that essential relationship. As the series develops, we will review dreams we have for our life and give them more structure and grounding to facilitate these dreams coming into being. We will learn and practice the ‘Earth Form’ – a series of movements that connect us with the energy of the Earth. We shall learn the form in several different orientations.
